US 2 Variable Message Sign Installation (west of Skykomish)
County: King  Highway: US 2 Region: North Central 
Location: MP 45 (Grotto, 4 miles west of Skykomish)
Description:  Neppell Electrical is the contractor for the installation of variable message signage on Stevens Pass west of Skykomish.  The work is scheduled to be completed the end of August.
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. the eastbound shoulder of US 2 will be closed for installation of a new variable messaging sign at that location.  No traffic delays are expected.

US 2 Stevens Pass Avalanche Deflection Berm #9399
County: King  Highway: US 2 Region: North Central
Location: MP 60.4 – 60.5 (west of Stevens Pass summit)  
Description:  Stider Construction is the contractor for this $750,000 project to construct an avalanche deflection berm in the Tunnel Creek drainage area of King County to direct avalanches away from US 2.
Work schedule: Monday and Tuesday, expect delays up to 30 minutes at the summit and at Old Cascade Highway while the contractor is blasting and clearing the roadway.  Blasting work and delays will occur midday to late afternoon.

US 2/97 Wheel Rut Chipseal (Cashmere to School Street in Wenatchee)
County: Chelan  Highway: US 2 Region: North Central 
Location: MP 110 - 118 (Goodwin/Hay Canyon Rd in Cashmere to School Street in Wenatchee)
Description:  WSDOT crew will be performing chip seal work on the wheel ruts of US 2/97 between Cashmere and Wenatchee.  This work will also require lane closures and a reduced speed zone of 45 mph during working hours.  Speed limit will returns to 60 mph during non-working hours.
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect lane shifts and a reduced speed zone of 45 mph during working hours.

US 2/97 Intersection Improvements #9454 (Dryden to Monitor)
County: Chelan  Highway: US 2 Region: North Central 
Location: MP 106 - 115 (Dryden to Monitor)
Description:  Neppell Electrical is the contractor for this project that will repair and improve flashing warning beacons at five intersections between Dryden and Monitor on US 2/97.  This project is scheduled to be completed in mid-September.
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect lane shifts and a reduced speed zone of 45 mph during working hours.

I-90 Bridge Slab Edge Repair (Moses Lake)
County: Grant  Highway: I-90  Region: North Central
Location: MP 175.5-176.1 (east of Blue Heron Park, Moses Lake)
Description: Maintenance work to repair concrete on bridge slab edges with patching material.  Work will require lane closures and reduced speed zone during working hours with bridge crew on and around the bridge.  
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there will be left lane closures and a reduced speed of 55 mph through the work zone.  Speed limit returns to 70 mph during non-working hours, including weekends.

US 97 South of Blewett Pass Paving #9339
County: Kittitas  Highway: US 97  Region: North Central
Location: MP 149 - 165 (Junction with SR 970 to Tronson Creek near summit of Blewett Pass)
Description: Central Washington Asphalt is the contractor for this $5.0 million project.  The project will preserve roadway integrity by planning and paving between the junction with SR 970 to Tronson Creek near the summit of Blewett Pass.  The project is scheduled to complete late August.
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., expect one lane, flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes in the work zone where the contractor is installing rumble strips, guidepost and pavement markings on the length of the project.

US 97 Boundary Bridge #9323
County: Kittitas  Highway: US 97  Region: North Central
Location: MP 159-160 (near Swauk Campground)
Description: In this $4.5M project, WHH Nisqually Construction Services will construct a concrete bridge to replace an old culvert that created a fish passage barrier. Work will include a detour widening to shift traffic while the bridge is constructed half at a time.  Two-way traffic will be maintained outside working hours throughout the life of the project, except some instances of work that may require overnight flagging. No full closures of US 97 are planned for this project.  Work started April 15, 2019.
Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, there will be one lane, flagger controlled traffic where the contractor is constructing a drilled concrete shaft in the bypass lane.  Expect delays up to 20 minutes.  Traffic in both directions has been shifted to detour lanes requiring a 12 ft. width restriction and a reduced speed of 50 mph through the work zone.  These restrictions will remain in place during non-working hours through the duration of the project.  Bypass lanes have narrow shoulders. The detour is expected to remain in place into October.

SR 153 Methow River Bridge Structural Rehabilitation, Phase 3 #9388
County: Okanogan  Highway: SR 153 Region: North Central 
Location: MP 11.83-22.36 (Methow to Carlton)
Description: The third phase of rehabilitation work on the three Methow River bridges between Methow and Carlton.  This work will include column jacketing and retrofitting to rehabilitate these bridges.  Work begins June 17 and is scheduled to be complete the end of September.  Traffic control will include alternating, single lane travel on each bridge consecutively.  The project is schedule to be complete the end of September.
Work Schedule: Beginning July 17 through September, there will be intermittent flagger controlled traffic at all three bridges Monday through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Work is primarily under and around the bridge, so delays will be short, primarily when the crew is moving and staging equipment.
