It has become not cost-effective to continue repaving the roadway until further earthwork can be done. This project aims to address just that. Crews will drill 6' diameter holes nearly 50' deep and fill in the remaining sections with rock in an effort to dramatically stabilize this stretch of highway. Drivers will encounter shifted lanes and reduced speeds during this two-season construction project. Project page.

A rehabilitated bridge will reduced overall maintenance costs and preserve the bridge against corrosion. Project page.
Work Schedule: Beginning as early as May, drivers will encounter one-way alternating traffic controlled by a signal as well as occasional night and full weekend closures as crews work to keep the bridge open to local traffic. All other traffic, including truck traffic, will detour around the bridge during construction via US 101 and US 12.
